Tom joined Oikocredit in 2010 and manages Oikocredit's global Equity team. The Equity team seeks to invest in and support growing businesses with a focus on financial and social returns in financial inclusion, agriculture and renewable energy.

Tom also serves on company Boards and Advisory Committees.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Tom managed the Newport Emerging Markets fund at Bank of America and co-founded private equity impact fund New Mexico Community Capital (NMCC).

Tom taught finance at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and worked as a consultant for MFIs and SMEs in South America, Eastern Europe and Africa.

Tahira joined Oikocredit in 2007 as Equity Officer and since 2012 has been focusing on strengthening the operations of the Equity team.

Tahira has more than 18 years of experience in finance and investments. She is responsible for the management and strengthening of equity operations. Tahira joined Oikocredit in 2007 and has been responsible for exploring and assessing new equity opportunities as well managing a part of the equity portfolio.  

Before joining Oikocredit, Tahira spent almost 10 years at ABN AMRO in various positions in risk and international asset management.

Tahira holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), a bachelor’s degree in Physics from University College London (University of London) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Anirudh joined Oikocredit in 2017. As Equity Manager, Anirudh manages a portfolio of equity investments, leads the regional teams, and collaborates with Regional Directors to promote Oikocredit’s strategic objectives in Asia. He is currently based in Hyderabad, India.

Anirudh started at Oikocredit as Equity Officer for India. He successfully grew Oikocredit’s portfolio in emerging Inclusive Finance and Agriculture sectors until transitioning to his current role as Equity Manager in 2021.

He accumulates 13+ years of experience in private equity and corporate finance across several Asian countries. Before joining Oikocredit, Anirudh worked as a Corporate Finance Manager at Nava Bharat Ventures, an Indian listed infrastructure company. Prior to that, he worked at Small is Beautiful Fund, India’s first renewable energy focussed venture capital fund. He began his career in 2008 as an Analyst at UBS Investment Bank.

An Indian national, Anirudh is a CFA Charter holder (2012) and an MBA in Finance from IMT, Ghaziabad (2008). He completed a certificate program on Blockchain Technology in Financial Services from INSEAD and Blockchain Research Institute (2021). He underwent an executive training on Digital Finance at Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (2019).

Sébastien joined Oikocredit in 2014. As Equity Manager, Sébastien manages a portfolio of equity investments, leads the regional teams, and collaborates with Regional Directors to promote Oikocredit’s strategic objectives in Africa. He is currently based in France.

Sébastien started at Oikocredit as an Equity Analyst for Latin America, based in the Netherlands at the cooperative’s central office. In 2017 he moved to Colombia as Equity Officer where he successfully grew Oikocredit’s equity portfolio until transitioning to his current role in 2021.  

Before working at Oikocredit, Sébastien worked in Argentina with Groupe SOS, a leading French social enterprise responsible for developing new business opportunities to expand the company’s activities across various sectors, including impact investing. He also worked with microfinance institutions in Madagascar, Bolivia and Cambodia and with two NGOs focused on education in Burkina Faso and Côte d’Ivoire.

Sébastien holds a Master of Science in Global Business and a Master in Management from EDHEC Business School. He also received Executive Training on Sustainable Investments in Agriculture at the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment.

Valeria joined Oikocredit in 2010. As Equity Manager, Valeria manages a portfolio of equity investments, leads regional teams, and collaborates with Regional Directors to promote Oikocredit’s strategic objectives in Latin America. She is based in Uruguay.

Valeria first started at Oikocredit as Head of Portfolio for South America. In 2012 she moved into the role of Equity Officer for South America. She started her current role as Equity Manager in 2021.

Before joining Oikocredit, Valeria worked as a financial & operational risk head at a microfinance institution in Bolivia.  She held various finance and planning positions at a multinational company in Uruguay. Prior to that she worked as an audit assistant at an international firm in Uruguay.

Valeria has a Master in Management and Costs from the University of Uruguay and graduated as a Public Accountant. Valeria also taught Management Accounting at the University of Uruguay (UDELAR).

Antonio joined Oikocredit in May 2012, bringing with him over 20 years of professional experience in finance, banking, factoring and corporate finance.

His entire professional career has been based in Costa Rica, where he worked for Banco Continental (as Senior Loan Credit Officer) and Citibank (as Asset Based Finance Head). He also worked as CFO for a local factoring company.

Since 2007, Antonio has been involved in structured finance, mainly investing in renewable energy projects, with strong expertise in mezzanine capital investments and private equity. Antonio obtained his Bachelor of Finance from the University of Costa Rica and has an MBA from INCAE. He also holds a degree (cum laude) in public accounting.

Prevost is responsible for evaluating new equity opportunities and supporting Oikocredit's existing investments in West Africa.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Prevost worked for Ecobank Capital as an Investment Banking Analyst where he participated in the closing of several transactions in West Africa, including syndicated loans, bond issues and mergers and acquisitions in a number of sectors including agribusiness, infrastructure, oil and gas and financial services. Prior to this, Prevost worked in Dallas, Texas as a financial analyst for Astadia Consulting.

Prevost holds a Master in finance (MSc) from Syracuse University and is a member of the Investment Bank Institute. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Economics and Finance from the Southern Methodist University of Dallas.

Prevost is based at Oikocredit’s West Africa office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Nicolás joined Oikocredit in September 2017 as an Equity Officer based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Nicolás is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting existing investments in Latin America.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Nicolás worked as a financial consultant for advisory firm Ferrere. In this role he was involved in financial advisory for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fundraising and structuring of securities issued in the private and public markets. Nicolás began his career in finance with PwC Uruguay.

Nicolás obtained his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Uruguay (UDELAR). He is Uruguayan and speaks Spanish, English and Italian.

Abhinav joined Oikocredit in December 2019 as an Equity Analyst based in Hyderabad, India. He is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in India.

Before joining Oikocredit, Abhinav worked as a Market Risk Analyst at Societe Generale. His role included market data certification, daily monitoring, validation and reporting of market risk limits(VAR,SVAR and STT) for the European region. Prior to that he also worked as an intern at Oikocredit for two months in 2018.

Abhinav completed a Postgraduate Diploma programme in Finance from IMT Ghaziabad, India, and is currently a CFA level III candidate.

Joaquín joined Oikocredit in November 2021 as an Equity Analyst based in Montevideo, Uruguay. He is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting existing investments in Latin America.

Before joining Oikocredit, Joaquín worked as a research analyst at the World Bank’s Development Economics department. In this role, he was involved in the analysis of financial data of firms based in emerging market economies. He began his career as a tax associate at Deloitte Uruguay.

Joaquín holds an MSc in international finance and development from the Barcelona School of Economics and a postgraduate diploma in marketing from the University of Uruguay (UDELAR). He graduated in public accounting from the University of Uruguay (UDELAR).

Samuel joined Oikocredit in January 2020 as an Equity Analyst based in Nairobi, Kenya. Samuel is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in Africa.

Before joining Oikocredit, Samuel worked as an analyst in the Transaction Advisory Services department of Ernst & Young. In this role, he was involved in providing transaction support services across various sectors on behalf of private equity funds and other strategic investors. These services primarily included financial modeling, business and investment property valuation, and financial due diligence. Samuel started his career in investment banking as an Investment Analyst at a local investment bank in Nairobi.

Samuel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Nairobi and is a CFA III candidate.

Yves joined Oikocredit in 2022. Based out of Côte d’Ivoire, Yves helps manage and build Oikocredit’s presence in West Africa. As Equity Analyst, Yves reviews and prepares future investment opportunities, and works to maintain and support existing investments in the region.

Before working at Oikocredit, Yves worked in Canada in a financial analyst position in Global Payments Inc, a leading worldwide provider of digital payment technology. Here, Yves conducted due diligence reviews and risk assessments throughout a large portfolio. Prior to this, Yves also held financial analyst and service analyst positions with financial consulting company Modelcom in Montreal, and the Banque de Montréal (Bank of Montreal) in Toronto, respectively.

Yves holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Finance from the Université de Sherbrooke. He also holds a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, and is a CFA level III candidate.

Harold joined Oikocredit in 2022. As an Equity Officer in Latin America, Harold works to review and realize potential investment opportunities in financial, agricultural and renewable energy sectors throughout the region. Harold is currently based out of Peru.

Before joining Oikocredit in 2022, Harold led the set up and design of Odiseo, an impact-oriented venture capital project aiming to support emerging companies in Latin America. Harold’s work with Odiseo was facilitated by his previous investment experience with Capitalia Colombia SAS, where he managed and oversaw investment opportunities with emerging socially driven Latin American companies.

Harold holds a master’s degree in finance from the University of Bradford, and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Universidad EAFIT, Colombia. Throughout his career, he has attended programs geared towards finance, investments and corporate thinking in the US and Colombia.

Yashodhara joined Oikocredit in April 2022 as an Equity Analyst based in Hyderabad, India. She is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in India.

Before joining Oikocredit, Yashodhara worked in the strategy and transaction department at Ernst & Young for three years, during which she conducted due diligence and financial analysis for a variety of partners and firms. She has worked across multiple industries including renewable energy, manufacturing, retail, engineering, and construction.

Yashodhara holds a Bachelor of Commerce from St. Xavier’s college, and has completed her Chartered accountancy, Company secretary and CFA level III qualifications. Yashodhara has personally engaged in supporting education initiatives and mentoring students in socially impactful volunteer work.

Harsh joined Oikocredit in 2022. As an Equity Officer, Harsh supports Oikocredit’s presence in Asia through evaluating emerging investment opportunities and maintaining current investments. He is based out of Hyderabad, India. 

Harsh has more than nine years of diverse experience in investment and operational roles with start-ups. Prior to joining Oikocredit, he led corporate finance, investor relations, and fintech strategy at Stellapps Technologies, a dairy tech start-up.

Prior to that, he worked with Caspian impact investments for five years across both debt and equity funds, and held multiple positions between portfolio, risk and investment management. He started his career with a microfinance company before moving to S&P Market Intelligence as an Analyst. Harsh completed his bachelor’s and post-graduate in Finance from Gujarat University, India. He is also CFA level II candidate.

Gichuru joined Oikocredit in June 2023 as an Equity Analyst based in Nairobi, Kenya. Gichuru is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in Africa. Before joining Oikocredit, Gichuru worked as a Private Sector Development Associate at KCIC Consulting. In this role, he was involved in providing transaction advisory services and fundraising support to enterprises. His responsibilities included investor mapping and relationship building, financial modelling, supporting the due diligence and investment documentation process, and business development in the areas of business strategy and growth, planning, governance, sustainability, ESG and impact reporting. Gichuru started his career as an Alternative Investment Analyst at an investment management firm in Nairobi. Gichuru holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from United States International University Africa and is a CFA Level 1 candidate.
