The microfinance institution (MFI) Instituição de Crédito Solidário (CREDISOL) provides financial services to micro entrepreneurs in the southern part of the state of Santa Catarina. CREDISOL has branches in 26 cities and serves both the formal and informal sector, with a specific focus on people who lack access to the traditional financial market.
CREDISOL started operating in 1999 as a non-governmental organization headquartered in Criciúma, Santa Catarina. Over the years, CREDISOL has grown to become one of the leading MFIs in the region in terms of portfolio size and partnerships. These partnerships include professional training activities and hands-on client consultations.
CREDISOL, Instituição de Crédito Solidário has been an Oikocredit partner since 2009.
