Bart joined Oikocredit on 1 August 2015. He holds an MBA from Nijmegen University and has extensive international business and leadership experience, with a background in microfinance, business innovation and structured finance in emerging markets.

Bart began his career as an officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force before joining ABN AMRO where he stayed for almost 10 years in international private banking and business development in new growth markets.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Bart was the founder and CEO of Musoni, the world’s first 100% cashless microfinance institution in Kenya.

Tom joined Oikocredit in 2010 where he is the Deputy Director of Equity Investments. He leads the Latin American investment team and is responsible for several direct investments in the growing portfolio. He serves on company Boards and Advisory Committees.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Tom managed the Newport Emerging Markets fund at Bank of America and co-founded private equity impact fund New Mexico Community Capital (NMCC).

Tom taught finance at Universidad San Francisco de Quito and worked as a consultant for MFIs and SMEs in South America, Eastern Europe and Africa.

Tahira joined Oikocredit in 2007 as Equity Officer and since 2012 has been focusing on strengthening the operations of the Equity team.

Tahira has more than 18 years of experience in finance and investments. She is responsible for the management and strengthening of equity operations. Tahira joined Oikocredit in 2007 and has been responsible for exploring and assessing new equity opportunities as well managing a part of the equity portfolio.  

Before joining Oikocredit, Tahira spent almost 10 years at ABN AMRO in various positions in risk and international asset management.

Tahira holds a master’s degree in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London), a bachelor’s degree in Physics from University College London (University of London) and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

Evert joined the Equity team in August 2015, responsible for building and maintaining Oikocredit's equity portfolio. Evert brings with him over 20 years of experience in legal, impact investment and general management. Evert joined Oikocredit in February 2013, working on a variety of assignments including positions in the Equity Unit, General Counsel office and Investor Relations Department.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Evert managed investments in Africa and India with a Dutch-based equity impact investor. There he held board positions in investee companies and developed a pipeline of investments mainly in East Africa, with a focus on agribusiness and mobile technology solutions. 

Evert holds a Master of Laws from the University of Utrecht. After practicing law in a firm in the Netherlands, he joined one of the Big 4 audit firms to set up and lead a legal services unit. He also holds an EVCA Certificate in Institutional Private Equity Investing from the Saïd Business School in Oxford.

Alexander is responsible for seeking and assessing new opportunities in various sectors as well as managing some of Oikocredit's equity investments in microfinance institutions.

Before joining Oikocredit in May 2012, he worked as an investment officer for a clean energy fund in Central America where he evaluated numerous triple bottom line enterprises requiring specialised financing. Alexander structured the financing for several renewable energy generation projects such as small-scale hydroelectric and biomass plants.

Previously he worked as a financial analyst for a US event-driven hedge fund and as a debt trader for a leading Central American bank.

Alexander is German-Costa Rican and has also lived in Venezuela and the United States.

Anthony joined Oikocredit in June 2016 and is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new equity opportunities and supporting the existing portfolio in the East African region.

Before joining Oikocredit, he worked at Voxtra Agribusiness East Africa Fund and InReturn Capital/Jacana Private equity fund. Previously, he provided advisory services at the International Finance Corporation, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Deloitte.

He is a Kenyan national and holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and is a CFA Charterholder.  Anthony is based in the regional office in Nairobi, Kenya.

Valeria is an Equity Officer evaluating new opportunities and supporting existing investments in the South America region. She joined Oikocredit in 2010 and until 2012 was in charge of portfolio management of South America South region.

Before joining Oikocredit, Valeria spent three years working as a financial & operational risk head in an microfinance institution in Bolivia. Previously, she worked for four years in the beer industry in a multinational company in Uruguay in various positions in finance, planning and commercial areas.

Valeria started her career as an audit assistant in an international firm in Uruguay. She has a Masters in Management and Costs from University of Uruguay (UDELAR) and graduated as a public accountant (University of Uruguay). Valeria also taught management accounting in the University of Uruguay (UDELAR).

Antonio joined Oikocredit in May 2012, bringing with him over 20 years of professional experience in finance, banking, factoring and corporate finance.

His entire professional career has been based in Costa Rica, where he worked for Banco Continental (as Senior Loan Credit Officer) and Citibank (as Asset Based Finance Head). He also worked as CFO for a local factoring company.

Since 2007, Antonio has been involved in structured finance, mainly investing in renewable energy projects, with strong expertise in mezzanine capital investments and private equity. Antonio obtained his Bachelor of Finance from the University of Costa Rica and has an MBA from INCAE. He also holds a degree (cum laude) in public accounting.

Anirudh joined Oikocredit in August 2017 as an Equity Officer based at Oikocredit's subsidiary Maanaveeya in Hyderabad. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating new equity opportunities as well as supporting the existing portfolio in India. 

Before joining Oikocredit, Anirudh worked at Nava Bharat Ventures (equity and project financing), KSK’s Small is Beautiful Fund (private equity) and UBS (investment banking). He has worked in a number of sectors including renewable energy, infrastructure and agribusiness.

Sébastien joined Oikocredit as an Investment Analyst based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. Sebastien is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in Latin America.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Sébastien worked in Argentina as a Junior Country Ccoordinator for French social enterprise, GROUPE SOS. There Sébastien was responsible for sourcing, analysing and developing new business opportunities to expand the group’s activities in Argentina across various sectors, including impact investing, healthcare, employment and elderly care. Sébastien also worked with microfinance and small to medium enterprises in Madagascar, Bolivia and Cambodia.

Sébastien holds a Masters in Global Business (M.Sc) as well as a Masters in Management from EDHEC Business School, France. Sébastien is French and also speaks fluent English and Spanish.

Prevost is responsible for evaluating new equity opportunities and supporting Oikocredit's existing investments in West Africa.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Prevost worked for Ecobank Capital as an Investment Banking Analyst where he participated in the closing of several transactions in West Africa, including syndicated loans, bond issues and mergers and acquisitions in a number of sectors including agribusiness, infrastructure, oil and gas and financial services. Prior to this, Prevost worked in Dallas, Texas as a financial analyst for Astadia Consulting.

Prevost holds a Master in finance (MSc) from Syracuse University and is a member of the Investment Bank Institute. He also holds a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Economics and Finance from the Southern Methodist University of Dallas.

Prevost is based at Oikocredit’s West Africa office in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.

Nicolás joined Oikocredit in September 2017 as an Equity Analyst based in Montevideo, Uruguay. Nicolás is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting existing investments in Latin America.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Nicolás worked as a financial consultant for advisory firm Ferrere. In this role he was involved in financial advisory for mergers and acquisitions (M&A), fundraising and structuring of securities issued in the private and public markets. Nicolás began his career in finance with PwC Uruguay.

Nicolás obtained his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Uruguay (UDELAR). He is Uruguayan and speaks Spanish, English and Italian.

Rodrigo joined Oikocredit in June 2016  as an Investment Analyst based in San Jose, Costa Rica. Rodrigo is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean Region

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Rodrigo worked for three years as a Research Executive for the Costa Rican Investment Promotion Agency, CINDE. In this role, Rodrigo developed financial and strategic consulting for multinational companies seeking to move their operations. Rodrigo also has experience of the Brazilian insurance market and conducted a portfolio investment consultancy for Grupo Gloria, Peru.

Rodrigo obtained his Bachelor of Economics from the University of Costa Rica. He also holds an MBA from INCAE (with honors). Rodrigo is Costa Rican and also speaks English and Portuguese.

Mila is an Equity Analyst based in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. She is responsible for evaluating new investment opportunities as well as supporting existing investments in Asia and Africa.

Mila joined Oikocredit in 2014 and worked two years as a Credit Analyst before joining the Equity team. As a Credit Analyst, she was in charge of reviewing credit proposals  for microfinance institutions, agriculture and renewable energy companies in Asia, Africa and Latin America. Prior to joining Oikocredit, Mila spent two years working as a Business and Financial Analyst in a web tourist company in France.

Mila holds a Masters in International Business Development from the Institute of Political Science of Aix en Provence, France and is CFA level II candidate. Mila is a Bulgarian national and also speaks fluent English, French and Russian.
