Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Union provides both financial and non-financial services in the form of credit, deposits, insurance and training to micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
In the last few years, the organization has heavily invested in capacity building, staff development and improving operating systems. The organization has endorsed the SMART Campaign's client protection principles to ensure that borrowers are protected against taking out loans they cannot afford. For example, it clearly communicates its pricing structure to clients. In 2013 its pricing transparency was recognized with an MFTransparency award.
Sinapi Aba Savings and Loans Union has been an Oikocredit partner since 2011.
