Faulu Microfinance Bank Ltd - Financial solutions for ‘unbankable’ retailers
Faulu Microfinance Bank Ltd
Financial solutions for ‘unbankable’ retailers
The origins of Faulu Microfinance Bank (Faulu) can be traced back to 1991 when Food for the Hungry International (a Christian relief organization) set up a loan scheme, under the name Faulu, to help people in the Mathare area of Nairobi. Today, it is one of Kenya's top deposit-taking microfinance institutions which serves the 'unbankable' through a range of savings, loans and micro-insurance products and mobile banking solutions.
Faulu has almost 100 service outlets throughout the country and is fully regulated and supervised by the Central Bank of Kenya.
Faulu is a professionally managed bank offering a wide range of affordable products to help small retailers in agriculture and trade to develop their businesses. Through financial education, Faulu also encourages its clients to adopt a positive and success-oriented business attitude.
Faulu has been an Oikocredit partner since 2005.Download this project as a PDF
