Oikocredit is a cooperative that brings together thousands of people who share the goal of improving the quality of life of low-income people in a sustainable way. Dedicated networks of professionals, volunteers and member organisations are key to Oikocredit’s success as a global cooperative.
Oikocredit’s central office is located in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. We also have offices in our three focus regions of Africa, Asia and Latin America, staffed by local experts who work directly with our partners in the field.

Oikocredit International, based in the Netherlands, is led by our Managing Director. The Managing Board oversees the day-to-day operations of the organisation, and is overseen by a 10-member Supervisory Board.
The Supervisory Board oversees the entire cooperative. The board represents five different continents with a corresponding balance of expertise, gender, Christian denominations and geographical areas.
The Members’ Council is a consultation and advisory body which is broadly representative of Oikocredit’s member churches, support associations and other member organisations such as social banks.
