Thos joined Oikocredit in April 2017. As managing director, Thos is responsible for steering and implementing the global strategy at Oikocredit. In addition to heading the day-to-day operations, he is responsible for representing Oikocredit as the organization’s main spokesperson.

Before coming to Oikocredit, Thos worked in leadership positions at Rabobank, an international cooperative bank headquartered in the Netherlands, for nearly 30 years, including positions in the Netherlands, Chile and Australia.

His thorough knowledge and expertise in international finance includes rural lending. Thos holds a Master’s degree in Development Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and is fluent in English, Dutch and Spanish.

Thos has been Oikocredit’s managing director since April 2017.

Ging Ledesma joined Oikocredit in 1999 as deputy regional manager for the Southeast Asia regional office.

She subsequently held positions as regional manager Southeast Asia and monitoring & administration manager before becoming Oikocredit’s first social performance manager in 2009.

In 2012 Ging was appointed social performance and financial analysis director and joined the managing board. Since 2015 she has headed the investor relations and social performance department. From mid-2016 until early 2017 Ging carried out the additional role of interim managing director.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Ging worked for various organizations in Asia, including Asia Partnership for Human Development in Hong Kong, and the National Secretariat for Social Action, Justice and Peace in the Philippines.

She has a degree in business administration from the University of the Philippines.

Irene has been working for Oikocredit since 2010.

Irene van Oostwaard was appointed a member of the managing board of Oikocredit International in November 2013 and is responsible for Oikocredit’s finance and operations department.

Irene joined Oikocredit in 2010 as an internal auditor, and became deputy director finance, ICT & risk management in April 2013. Prior to joining Oikocredit, she spent 11 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers accountants in the Netherlands.

Irene is a member of the Netherlands Institute of Chartered Accountants and holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in accountancy from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.

Bart van Eyk joined Oikocredit on 1 August 2015. He holds an MBA from Nijmegen University and has extensive international business and leadership experience, with a background in microfinance, business innovation and structured finance in emerging markets.

Bart began his career as an officer in the Royal Netherlands Air Force before joining ABN AMRO where he stayed for almost 10 years in international private banking and business development in new growth markets.

Prior to joining Oikocredit, Bart was the founder and CEO of Musoni, the world’s first 100% cashless microfinance institution in Kenya.

Hann Verheijen was appointed credit director on 1 October 2016. Hann holds a master's degree in business administration from Nyenrode Business University. He subsequently held various managerial positions in the field of corporate finance and strategy.

In 2002 he joined Triodos Bank, working on large international projects. In 2005 he was appointed the bank’s director of business banking, in charge of the bank’s loan portfolio.

Hann joined Oikocredit Netherlands in 2012, taking on the role of director.
