We are seeking a Managing Director for our head office in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.
About the role
Reporting directly to the supervisory board and providing leadership within the managing board, the Managing Director carries out a wide range of responsibilities from steering the strategy development, implementation and monitoring, to presiding over the day-to-day operations of the organization, to externally engaging and representing the organization at international conferences and being Oikocredit’s principal spokesperson.

The role demands strong strategic focus and a track record of leadership, coupled with highly effective networking skills and a strong ability to motivate and inspire both colleagues and a multi-stakeholder group of members, investors and collaborators.
The ideal candidate is an engaging and transformational change leader with a strong consultative and visionary outlook. She or he will have a proven track record in working in a complex medium to large development finance environment with multi-stakeholder involvement, and be able to transform and show passion for the organization and its mission while maintaining a financial and operational balance. A good understanding of the international financial institution environment and its regulatory changes, both at European and global level, is essential.
